The industry and the labor market department deals with all issues touching on business, trade, industry and the labor market, including fishing and hunting, developing the local economy, hosting business forums, boosting tourism, providing consulting services to businesses, launching innovative ideas, ensuring transport links and developing the district's settlements. The department is also responsible for vocational training and further education.
